Drawing with my lovely Persan cat Mia, she wouldn't give me any space

Currently working on a story on the relationship between an artist and their model. I got my inspiration for my story in our History of Art class, when the teacher was talking about shapes and bodies, and exclaimed 'women ARE curves'. I found that incredibly reductive for both male and female bodies, but also of the way people experience bodies. I remember being mesmerized by how round and curved a boyfriend's shoulders were, how lush and soft he looked, and obsessively trying to draw those curves. Men are curves too, but also, some women don't have curves. Another student in my class disliked the remark as well, because it reminded her of all the comments she got when she was young about being quite thin and flat-chested.

So, for this story, I decided I wanted to have a male model with curved shapes in some kind of relationship with a female artist. It's not the easiest way to start a story though, I had to invent everyone's backstory from scratch. I usually like having some kind of anecdote to go from!
